Was 2012 a year of Change?

Trillion dollar debts, countries living beyond their means, the Occupy Wall Street Movement, protests all over the world, governments allowing GMOs, toxic products in our homes and foods, poor building methods…

It is clear that the internet has made global communication possible, that people around the world are now speaking with each other, creating new tribes, organizing and effecting changes.

Your ECO friend would like 2012 to be the year that people make better decisions in regards to the products they bring into their homes, bodies and communities.

My wish is that you do what you can to make your home more energy-efficient and if you are planning to build or renovate, that you recycle your materials and use recycled materials when possible… that you look into passive solar as a heat and light source for your home… that you insulate and seal air leaks… that you realise that some materials are not meant to last more than a few years and contribute to the garbage piles outside of our cities and that they may seem cheaper but are more expensive in the long run.
